THE STORY OF WHITE PEONY

Also known as Bai Mudan, White Peony is a white tea produce from one leaf shoot and two young leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. This tea is produced in eastern Fujian, on the Dai Bai cultivars, and in the northern Fujian Zhenghe Dai Bai cultivar is used.

White peony is a slightly oxidized tea. The plucks are exposed to the sun for long periods of time and then stacked for oxidation, where it takes the characteristic aroma and flavor. The leaves are then baked to dry for packaging.
