THE STORY OF ICCHA KARIBAN

Japanese green teas usually have a characteristic marine aroma with hints of seaweed and vegetal flavors. However, Iccha Kariban is a tea made from an experimental cultivar (a hybrid of the Camellia Sinensis plant) which was developed particularly to make a green tea that is more floral in flavor. As a result, Iccha Kariban stands out in its flavor with a complex set of floral notes floral with sweet fragrances and low astringency while still carrying hints of marine fragrances.

Iccha Kariban is a unique green tea from the Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan, which belongs to the southernmost Kyushu Island with a subtropical climate, which is similar to the climate of Florida, Venice, Barcelona, Sydney, Taipei etc. With mild winters, this region is known to produce multiple kinds of tea such as Gyokuru, Sencha, and Bancha as well as an exclusive tea Kamairicha.
